Reichert, Rathburn wed at Squire Creek
Megan Reichert and Christopher Rathburn, both of Ruston, were united in holy matrimony on May 26 at Squire Creek Country Club. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Dr. Wilton Wall, of Quitman.
Megan is the daughter of Tommy and Cindy Reichert, of Ruston, and the granddaughter of Robert and Lauren Spillers, of Calhoun, Martha Reichert, of Ruston, the late Izell Spillers and the late Arthur Reichert.
Christopher is the son of Debora Rathburn, of Ruston, and Bill Rathburn, of Ogden, Utah. He is the grandson of Sallie Aulds of Ruston, Catherine McIntosh of Sylmar, Calif., and the late Lavonne Allen "Pete" Aulds.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an exquisite haute couture gown by Maggie Sottero. The sweetheart embellished bodice featured delicate cap sleeves of Venetian lace creating a high mandarin keyhole back. The empire bodice was encircled with Swarovski crystals and rocaille beads, melting into a fitted silhouette of re-embroidered lace with Swarovski crystals. A deep hem of scalloped alencon lace encircled the flared trumpet skirt and tiffany train. To complete the gown, the bride chose a silk illusion veil with a blusher, beautifully designed with Swarovski crystals and diamantes in a starburst collection throughout the chapel length veil. After the ceremony, the bride removed the veil to accent her hair with a romantic silk rose with beaded alencon lace accents and diamantes created in a leaf design. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet with white freesia, yellow tulips, lime green mini hydrangeas, ivory stock, purple statice, hot pink nerine lilies, orange calla lilies, Ambiance roses, with a touch of lemon leaf at the base of the bouquet and tied with white satin ribbon.
Melissa Green, sister of the bride, of Monroe, served as matron of honor. Jerrilyn Ferguson, of Grambling, and Brooke Gill, of Shreveport, served as bridesmaids. They wore a sleek charmeuse sunbeam yellow dress that featured a Y-neck bodice, ruched waist and a soft bubble hemline. They each carried a hand-tied bouquet with yellow tulips, lime green mini hydrangeas, dark lavender stock, hot pink nerine lilies, orange calla lilies, Ambiance roses, with a touch of lemon leaf at the base of the bouquet and tied with a sheer yellow ribbon.
C.J. Holloway, of Ruston, served as best man. Matthew Reichert, of Ruston, and Christopher Duncan, of Ruston, served as groomsmen. Will Green, of Monroe, served usher.
Marley Clevenger, of Calhoun, served flower girl and Murphy Green, of Monroe, served as ring bearer. Janna Taylor served as book table attendant. Lauren Roebuck designed all floral arrangements.
Chris Hanchey provided ceremonial music and Brandon Crume served as the reception’s disc jockey.
Kevin Beasley served as the official photographer.
Prior to the ceremony, a rehearsal dinner was given at 102 a Bistro by Debora Rathburn, Don Adams, Sallie Aulds and Carolyn and Henry Lewis.
After the Squire Creek Country Club courtyard ceremony, a reception followed in the main formal dining room.
Before the couple was married, several wedding showers were given in their honor.
On April 14, a miscellaneous brunch shower was hosted by Janna Taylor, Melissa Green and Lauren Spillers in Calhoun.
On April 15, a tea shower was given by Connie Blunt, Mary Brister, Alice Clark, Tammy Coates, Jenny Crume, Paula Dowling, Kym Ingram, Rose MacDaniels, Annette McIntosh, Myla Phillips, Carla Roundtree and Kelly Smith at First Baptist Church of Ruston.
On April 29, Becky Mills, Kelly Gilliland, Marsha Snipe, Vera Taunton and Rhona Treadway hosted a miscellaneous shower at the Norton Building in Ruston.
On May 11, a lingerie shower was given by Melissa Green, Jerrilyn Ferguson and Brook Gill in Monroe.
On May 24, a tool shower was given in Ruston by Debora Rathburn, Don Adams, Carolyn and Henry Lewis, Sallie Aulds, Shelley and Brett Klingler, Shonda Lanham and Bucky Davis.
After a honeymoon to the islands of Kauai, Maui and Lanai, Hawaii, the couple will make their home in Ruston.
