Richie signs with OBU
Cedar Creek High School basketball star Ruby Richie recently signed a national letter-of-intent to play at Ouachita Baptist University. Richie was the team Most Valuable Player for the Lady Cougars and co-MVP in District 2-1A as well as earning honorable mention Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-State honors and being named to the All-Lincoln Parish, All-Northeast Louisiana and All-Area teams. She was an All-State academic representative for the school and a member of the National Honor Society. Before transferring to Cedar Creek as a junior, Richie played at Shreveport Calvary Baptist.
