Williams leads ’Dogs to victory
Alex Williams was three-for-five with a run and an RBI and Louisiana Tech University combined for 11 runs on 12 hits, as the Bulldogs powered their way past the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, 11-6, Tuesday afternoon at J.C. Love Field in Ruston.
Tech (6-3) was able to play 14 players in the game along with five different pitchers taking the mound, as the Bulldogs hoped to tune-up for their upcoming five-game road trip. Tech held on to the lead despite six errors and a late rally by UAPB (0-8).
Chris Sadberry (2-0) got his second win of the season (both wins coming off the Golden Lions), allowing one earned run off four hits in Tuesday’s contest. Leo Fuentes (0-1) was charged with the loss after allowing five runs on three hits and walking two in 1.1 innings pitched.
