Library board to cut costs, OKs uniforms
The Lincoln Parish Library Board of Control took actions last week that will save the library more than $600 per month and make the employees more identifiable.
During their monthly meeting Wednesday, board members approved uniform shirts for library employees and a telephone contract with Nexus Systems.
Library information technology analyst Allen Boehm told board members the library is currently paying $1,128 a month for telephone service. Library Director Vivian McCain pointed out, however, that this amount includes parish information technology services, which she said the library has not utilized for some time.
