Editor's Note: Clarence and Louise Faulk operated The Ruston Daily Leader for 31 years. The couple also built Ruston's first radio station and ran it for more than 20 years. Today at 96, while still checking in at his warehouse business most days, Clarence Faulk looks back on a life filled with memories of a girl in a blue velvet dress and the journalism world they both revered. A faded green folder in Louisiana Tech's comptroller's office has grown fat documenting Faulk support for Tech's journalism program.
