Even though that event was the beginning of my own journey on the Labyrinth, I have now walked it alone, and today I will reveal what that meant to me.

As I walked, I thought first of my Ruston beginnings and the stable and neat life I had as the daughter of Lorimer Edward Storey and Rhona Louise Miller Storey.

My existence was centered around A.E. Phillips, Ruston High School, Louisiana Tech University and First Baptist Church. If I got good grades, learned my Sunday School scriptures and practiced my piano lessons, I was up to parental expectations.
