McGehee, Meznar marry in July ceremony
On July 2 Natalie Walker McGehee and Philip Ross Meznar were united in holy matrimony in a 2 p.m. ceremony at Christ Community Church.
The Rev. Carter Allred Johnson officiated the ceremony.
Natalie is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Wayne McGehee, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. L.D. McGehee, of Ruston, the late Mr. L.D. McGehee, the late Mrs.
Harry Everette Burrow and Dr. Harry Everette Burrow, of Ocean Springs, Miss., and the late Theodore Joseph Millette.
Philip is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Martin Blaine Meznar, of Boone, N.C. He is the grandson of Barbara Deck, of Lansing, Ill., Larry Ross, of Van Wert, Ohio, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Meznar.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s gown featured a champagne lace overlay against a delicate ivory satin underlay. The champagne lace was detailed with Swarovski crystals, sequins and seed beads. The sweetheart neckline was romantically scalloped and the gown was finished with a delicate laced sweep train.
She carried a bouquet of yellow roses, circus roses, mini-green hydrangeas, fushia gerber daisies, green hypericum berries and purple stock.
Serving Natalie as maid of honor was Brittany TrussellMcGehee, of Covington. Bridesmaids were Rachel Welch, of Covington, Hannah Lee Johnson, of Dayton, Tenn., Olivia Ruth Pool, of Knoxville, Tenn., Amelia Ann Pool, of Knoxville, Tenn., Mary Anne McGehee, of Carollton, Texas, and Emily Meznar McClean, of South Bend, Ind.
They each wore a duponi, knee-length gown in ivy green. The skirt of the vintage inspired dress was pleated and the waistband was accented with a flat bow. The dress featured a halter top with a ruffled detail surrounding the neck.
Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of yellow roses, circus roses, mini-green hydrangeas, fushia gerber daisies, green hypericum berries and purple stock.
Serving Philip as best man was Michael Blaine Meznar, of Boone, N.C. His groomsmen for the ceremony were Matthew Allen Noel, of Clinton, Tenn., Evan Breese Johnson, of Dayton, Tenn., Andrew Millette McGehee, of Ruston, John Carl Wang, of Chicago Ill., Daniel Joseph McGehee, of Carollton, Texas, and Joel Norman McLean, of South Bend, Tenn.
Ushers for the wedding were Rodney Alan Smith of Monroe, Jonathan Patrick Welch, of Covington, and Andrew Taft Pierce, of Charlotte , N.C.
Anna Rebekah Bowling, of Ruston, served as flower girl and Drew Hamilton Bowling, of Ruston, served as ring bearer.
Book attendants were Sarah Barnes Jones, of Ruston, Mary Michael McGehee, of Ruston, and Laura Charlotte Neises, of Covington. Program attendants were Catherine Ross Pierce, of Charlotte, N.C., and Carlee Elizabeth Pierce, of Charlotte, N.C.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jeanne Dickson Patterson, pianist, and Robby Alan Earle, vocalist.
Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held at the Library Events Center in Ruston.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Blaine Meznar was held in the couple’s honor July 1 at Squire Creek.

On April 22 an engagement/announcement party was held in Ruston. The party was hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Bob Flournoy, Dr. and Mrs. Wes Lynch, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jones, Mrs. L.D. McGehee, Mr. and Mrs. Lucius McGehee and Mr. and Mrs. Don McGehee.
A lingerie shower was held April 16 in Dayton, Tenn., and was hosted by Amelia Pool.
A third shower was held for the couple at Christ Community Church on June 5. The miscellaneous shower was hosted by Barbara Bartlett, Jeanne Burns, Kathy Butler, LeMoyne Christian, Gwen Dingler, Susan Hamilton, Patti Hendricks, Mara Johnson, Jenevieve Ker, Vanessa Locklear, Kathy Massingale, Ann McKinney, Melinda Moore, Jeanne Patterson, Stacy Prescott, Pat Shaw, Jan Smith and Janet Wilson.
The couple took a cruise through the Caribbean stopping in Costa Maya, Mexico, Roaton, Honduras, Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico.
The couple will reside in Boone, N.C.
