Altogether different but the same
This June, I had the pleasure of making a trip up to Baltimore, Md. and the lower New England states. I was up there for a history competition and made a few college visits while in the area. But mostly, I soaked in the people and culture.
For it is a very different place, the north — far removed from our good ol’ South, as if it is an entirely new country altogether. While the New York City and D.C. accents aren’t all that different from our own, they do have trouble understanding a few things people born and raised in Louisiana say.
