Dubach looks back to build big future
An 1883 dog trot house which sits adjacent to the Scott Hamilton Warehouse is in need of new windows, steps, a bathroom and heating and air. Members of the Dubach Restoration and Beautification Organization (DRABO) hope to transform the historic house to look as it did more than 100 years ago, complete with a surrounding fence.
“I’m just thrilled that (the house) made the move, and work has begun on the restoration,” Dubach Mayor Margaret Rogers said. “We will have a lot of volunteers, men and women, to help locate period pieces of furniture, do landscaping and install a fence.”
