Glenda Dell Davis Sutton went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, July 08, 2011, after suffering a sudden heart attack that morning. Born October 4, 1950 in Cotton Valley, LA, she accepted Christ as her Lord at an early age, and she served him faithfully for her entire life. She was a loving wife and mother, and her love for her grandchildren was without limits or bounds. She deeply loved and cared for all of her family - her parents, her sisters, and all her nieces and nephews. Her humble spirit and servant's heart manifested itself in love for others and concern for the welfare of others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace Udell Davis and Helen Friday Davis, and her sister Sandra Lynn Jackson. She is survived by her husband, John W. Sutton of Ruston, LA, her sons J. Christopher Sutton (and wife Tracey) of Texarkana, TX, Timothy Dale Sutton (and wife Leslie) of Mandeville, LA, Grandchildren Ana Bourgeois, Madison Sutton, and Davis Sutton of Texarkana, and Elise Sutton and Tyler Dale Sutton of Mandeville, as well as her beloved sisters Lois Brown (and husband Joe) and Denice Davis, who reside near Little Rock, Arkansas. In addition, she loved her nieces and nephews, Tammi Rickert (and Ciera, Susie, Eli and Alex Rickert), and Wes Brown (and Caleb, Brody, and Olivia Brown) and Kristie Wood, all of whom currently reside in Arkansas.

The pallbearers will be Keith Sutton, Kenneth Sutton, Scott Sutton, Wes Brown, Curtis Wood, and Darryl Newsom. Honorary pallbearers will be F. J. Armond, James Sandifer, and the Calvary Baptist Church Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Visitation will be at Kilpatrick's Funeral Home in Ruston, LA from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 09, 2011, with the funeral service at Calvary Baptist Church, Vienna, LA, on Sunday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bill Reid presiding. Graveside services will be held Sunday following the service at the Evergreen Baptist Methodist Church cemetery, in Webster Parish, LA, at the Davis family plot under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, or the charity of your choice.
