Agnes Irene McFearin Hunter, born April 7, 1924, quietly passed from life on this earth to eternal rest in heaven on Thursday, May 19, 2011, with her daughter by her side.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 22 at 3 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church near Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel officiated by the Reverend Scott Jennings and Bro. Billy Joe Youngblood.  Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery. A lifelong resident of the Corinth Community, Mrs. Hunter graduated from Hico High School in 1941, and attended business college in Shreveport, Louisiana.  She was married to Carroll Clair Hunter, her husband of 63 years until his death in 2006.  As an active member of Corinth Baptist Church, she served as church clerk and treasurer, and was active in the WMU.  She and her husband together also served by lovingly performing ordinary duties at the church, keeping the building and grounds in repair. Mrs. Hunter was an excellent homemaker and mother.  She was known for her tireless hard work in which she found much pleasure and value.  A strong woman, she was tenacious and meticulous and possessed many talents.  She enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with family, being with her grandchildren, canning, gardening, sewing, upholstering, and ministering to the needs of those in the community who were ill or had suffered a loss.  She demonstrated her faith by her actions and work. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hunter is preceded in death by her parents Ella and Walter McFearin, two sisters, Gladys McFearin and Idell McFearin, and by her son-in-law Richard Lewis. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Ann Hunter Lewis of Kingwood, Texas, her granddaughter Jessica Claire Lewis and husband Nathan Dickerson of Houston, Texas, her grandson Carey Micah Lewis and wife Kristin of Houston, Texas, and numerous cousins. Pallbearers will be Marvin Brazzel, James Pilgreen, Ray Brazzel, George Brazzel, Ronnie Ennis, and Joe Lee Brazzel, and honorary pallbearer is Henry Brazzel.  Love and appreciation is extended to longtime caregivers Debbie Whitman and Faye Alsbrook and to Dr. Wayne Owens.  Memorials may be made to the Brazzel Memorial Reunion, Inc., the Corinth Cemetery Fund, or to the Corinth Baptist Church.  To leave a memorial message for the family, please visit www.owensmemorialfuneralhome.com.
