A graveside service for Mrs. Blanche Eleanor Fetterolf Alexander, age 86, of Russellville, Arkansas, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Arlington Cemetery in Homer. Dr. Wilton Wall will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Alexander was born December 16, 1924 in Homer to Orrin Fetterolf and Laddie L. Lamon Fetterolf. She died April 14, 2011 at Russellville Nursing Center. She was married on April 5, 1946 to James H. Alexander to whom she spent sixty five wonderful years with. Blanche Graduated from Louisiana Tech University. She was also a Secretary for the dean of Administrations for Louisiana Tech until she retired. She was a long time member of the Bakers Creek Baptist Church. Blanche also enjoyed Fishing and working in flower beds in her free time. One of her greatest joys was the time she got to spend taking care of her family. She was preceded her parents and two half brothers. Blanche is survived by her husband, James H. Alexander; a daughter Linda Freeman & husband Jim Moudy Russellville; a son Hank Alexander & wife Jodie Ruston, LA; six grandchildren Melinda & husband Eric Cox of Russellville, Chad Freeman Russellville, Clay Alexander Ruston, La, Kelli Alexander Ruston, La, Hope Alexander Ruston, La, and Alison Alexander Ruston, La; four great grandchildren Hayli Young, Alexander Cox, Noah Freeman, and Jacob Freeman all of Russellville; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, April 18, 2011 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston.
