Funeral services for Mrs. Lavaga Haggblad James, age 85, of Ruston will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Burkhalter Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Jerry Hilbun, Rev. Brian Mercer, and Rev. Doug McGuire. Interment will follow at Unionville Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. James was born February 8, 1926 and passed away March 20, 2011. Mrs. James was a long time, active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Ruston Garden Club, was an avid bridge player, and loved to travel. Mrs. James was an executive secretary for the T.L James Company for over 30 years. She is survived by her cousins: Linda Kiihnl husband Gary of Shreveport; second cousins: Chris Kiihnl and wife Jamie of Shreveport and their children, Chase and Mia; Shane and Angie Kiihnl and their children Austin and Aiden; Johnny and Pam Neimeyer of Spearsville, Gary Neimeyer of Spearsville and Glen and Fanny Neimeyer of Peru. Pallbearers will be Pat Barlow, James Frazier, Walter Savage, Glen Echols, Chris Kiihns, Joe Theriot, James Fuller, Richard Jones and Scott Gray. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Building Fund, and 1000 Woodward Ave, Ruston, LA 71270.
