Ronnie L. McCullin

A graveside service for Mr. Ronnie L. McCullin, age 67 of Springhill, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2011at Salem Cemetery near Dubach.  Rev. Jimmy Pyles will officiate the service.  Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. McCullin was born August 13, 1943 in Springhill to Melvin D. McCullin and Evelyn Delony McCullin.  He died in Arcadia May 8, 2011. He was a well checker and foreman for Arkla Gas.   He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers:  Jimmy McCullin and Jerry McCullin. Mr.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Cook, age 75 of Dubach, will be held at 4:30 PM Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston. Rev. Blaine O’Neill, O.F.M. will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in Pines Memorial Gardens in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Cook was born July 29, 1935 in Lake Providence to Joel Cecil Cook and Pauline Rushing Cook.  He died May 5, 2011 in Monroe.  Mr. Cook was a veteran of the US Army.  He worked as a rural mail carrier for 37 years.  After retirement, he became a farmer.  Mr.

Theodore “Sonny” W. Cuny, Jr.

Theodore “Sonny” W. Cuny, Jr. passed away peacefully from this world on May 4, 2011, at the age of 77 after valiantly battling a terrible disease for many years. His Alzheimer’s Disease, however, never dulled his spark. He was always laughing and dancing, talking to anybody who would listen, forever saluting the American flag, and thoroughly enjoying his life. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Blaushild Cuny, his children, Donna of Montgomery, Texas and Mark of Sacramento, California, and their families. His brother, John A.

Thomas Neal “Tommy” Windsor

Funeral service for Mr. Thomas Neal “Tommy” Windsor, age 68, of Ruston will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 6, 2011, at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Dr. Rick Byargeon and Reverend Dale Oden. Interment will follow at Pines Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Tommy was born January 30, 1943, in Sarepta, LA to Reverend Thomas and Minnie Love Windsor. He passed away May 3 in a boating accident on Toledo Bend near Zwolle, LA.

Jennie Ray Jenkins

Jennie Ray Jenkins, a 57 y/o resident of Baton Rouge, LA was called to rest on Saturday, April 23, 2011. She was the proud mother of three daughters: Danielle Metoyer (Andre, Husband), Sheree Velez, Joyclyn Jenkins, and one son, Christopher Jenkins (Vonda, wife). She had twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild, for whom she loved and spent many hours crocheting afghans. In addition to her children and host of other close relatives, she is also survived by her father, Harold E. Goree.

Funeral services for Kenneth Neil Pickron, 51, of the Swartz Community, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Lindell Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Pickron was born on September 1, 1959 in Monroe, LA and passed away on April 30, 2011 in Monroe, LA. Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Baygent Branch Hunting Club. He was a member of the New Light Baptist Church in Monroe.

Garland D. Gregory, age 92, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011, at his home in Ruston, Louisiana. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday May 1, 2011, at Trinity Methodist Church, Ruston, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at 2:00, preceding the funeral service at 3:30. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston. The Reverend Rolly Walker will officiate. Coach Gregory was born March 8, 1919, in Vixen, Louisiana and graduated from Columbia High School having excelled in all sports.

Wanda Tenola Hollis

Wanda Tenola Hollis, age 94 of Ruston, Louisiana died April 27, 2011 at the Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston. She was born in Carden Bottom, Arkansas on August 22, 1016 to her late parents Oscar Shelby Anglin and Minnie Bell Lakey. She was a retired school teacher, principal, and supervisor. Her favorite activity was working on campaigns and missions for the church. She traveled to several countries, with seven trips to Romania. She spent a year in the Vancouver, Canada area where she set up a Christian school.
