Lillian Irene Deville

Funeral services for Lillian Irene Deville, 85, of Ruston, LA will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 11, 2011 at Grace United Methodist Church in Ruston with the Reverend Hulen Warren officiating the service. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Interment will follow in the Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Deville was born May 8, 1925 in Bonita, Louisiana and died on February 9, 2011 in Ruston. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mrs.

Dr. Dale Owen Anderson

Dr. Dale Owen Anderson, 58, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. Born August 1, 1952 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, he was the son of Fern Thacker Anderson and Robert Benjamin Anderson. He married Colleen Watts on December 20, 1975, in the Provo, Utah LDS Temple. They have seven children: Jeff, Heather, Brooke, Kristin, Robert, Lauren, and Becca. After completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University in 1984, Dale started teaching at Louisiana Tech University. He taught in the Mechanical Engineering Dept.

James Ray Potts

Memorial services for James Ray Potts, age 60, of Grambling will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at China Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 699 Mondy Road, Grambling, LA 71245. Officiating Garnet Wagner. He is preceded in death by father (Robert L. Potts), mother (Lorine Ferguson Potts), and a brother (Robert E. Potts), and survived by his daughters Melanie Potts (Houston, Tx) and Jamica Potts Arceneaux (Grambling, La) and grandchildren, and niece Tracy Potts Bridges and host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Thelma Wade Doles, age 94, of Monroe will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Mabray. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Farmerville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. Doles was born January 21, 1917 and passed away February 6, 2011 following a brief illness. Mrs. Doles was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Monroe. She is survived by her husband John A.

Graveside services for John Smalley will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Arlington Memorial Cemetery, El Dorado, AR. Officiating will be CH (CPT) Scott Thompson, of the 527 EN BN. John was born February 16, 1990 in El Dorado, AR and passed away January 29, 2011. After graduation from high school he joined the Louisiana National Guard and was assigned to the 527th Engineer Battalion where he proudly served the citizens of his community and the state of Louisiana.

Frances L. “George” Dumas

Frances L. “George” Dumas, age 93, of Ruston, Louisiana peacefully passed away on February 6, 2011 after a brief illness. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral to follow at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Ruston, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe on February 8, 2011, with pastor Stewart Toms officiating. Frances was born on September 8, 1917 in Mineral Springs, Louisiana. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also worked as a waitress and caregiver.

Odie L. “Roy” Fitzgerald, age 90, of Ruston died Saturday, February 5, 2010.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2010 at the Chapel of Temple Baptist Church in Ruston with Rev. Dale Oden and Dr. Rick Byargeon officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will take place Monday, February 7, 2010, in the Chapel of Owens Memorial Funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Roy Fitzgerald was born July 19, 1920, in the Pisgah community of Bernice, LA to Odie L.

Kenneth W. Henry left this world to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday morning, February 5th, as a result of a brief illness. Visitation will be Monday, February 7th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, Louisiana. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 8th at Temple Baptist Church with interment at Pines Memorial Cemetery in Ruston. Services for Mr. Henry will be led by Dr. Rick Byargeon and Rev. Dale Oden. Eulogy will be delivered by Scott Thompson with special music presented by Mary Hollis Graham and Margie Hearn.

Maggie Moncrief Williams

Funeral services for Maggie Moncrief Williams, age 100, a native of Bernice and a resident of Houma will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Weldon Baptist Church near Bernice.

The Rev. Carroll Holmes will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Weldon Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Maggie was born in Bernice on Aug. 21, 1910 and died in Houma on Feb. 3, 2011.
She was a 1929 graduate of Bernice High School and was the oldest member of Weldon Baptist Church.

Melba L. Skipper

Funeral services for Melba L. Skipper, 65 of Choudrant , will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Speights and Rev. Jimmy Barmore. Burial will follow in Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach.
