Problems with nut grass, Bradford pears

in
Maki, Ken.jpg

Question: Is there any easy solution to getting nut grass out of a flowerbed? I bought some good topsoil and topped it off with some topsoil that came in bags. Driver’s ed is a rite of passage among American teenagers. I don’t think I’ll ever forget my own adventures with the class, though I can’t guarantee I remember every single rule I learned.
Unlike many of my peers, I didn’t attend driver’s education at my own high school. The reason? I didn’t want to wake up and go to school an hour before I had to. I preferred to sign up for a commercial program, hosted at another parish school, that took place after school.

Brew, Rafash.jpg

The red imported fire ant, a Louisiana resident since the early 1950s, can be a painful pest or a useful, beneficial friend. Depending on your situation, you may want to manage these ants or simply let them go about their helpful way.
