B & B season kicks off with ‘Graceland’ performance

Riders to rock Peach Rodeo

Attendees of the 2011 Squire Creek Louisiana Peach Festival can watch rodeo action and a 16-year-old country music star perform at one event this weekend.
For the second year in a row, the Peach Festival Rodeo will be held at the North Louisiana Exhibition Center.
Around 150 cowboys and cowgirls will be roping and riding beginning at 8 p.m. both Friday and Saturday evenings.

Two taken to hospital, 2 arrested

Two area residents were recently arrested on aggravated battery charges in unrelated incidents involving a stabbing and a bar fight.
Cortez Russell, 23, of 294 Tarbutton Road, was arrested this week after he allegedly attacked another man with a knife.
According to the arrest affidavit, Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies on Monday morning responded to Pine Ridge Mobile Home Park on Tarbutton Road in reference to a fight.
