What direction to go with redistricting?

State lawmakers must decide on geographical configurations

The state Senate and House are expected to consider bills this week that will determine U.S. Congressional redistricting.
State representatives must decide whether they want to remain with a north/south configuration or go to an east/west configuration. Among the three bills the House will consider, two go with the north/south model and one with the east/west. The bill the Senate will review also goes with the north/south model.
Of the local delegation, two favor the north/south map and one favors the east/west.
