Tech, Murphy USA team up

Many Louisiana Tech University students have found their careers at Murphy Oil USA over the years.
It looks like even more future Tech graduates will follow in those footsteps now that the Tech/Murphy USA connection has become much stronger.
Tech and Murphy USA, headquartered in El Dorado, Ark., held a press conference today to announce a groundbreaking partnership providing targeted educational and professional development programs, rooted in Tech’s strong academic traditions, to Murphy employees globally.

(Editor’s note: Louisiana Tech University will honor its three national championship teams in women’s basketball on Saturday. A luncheon is set for that day at 11:30 a.m., at the Squire Creek Golf and Country Club to recognize members of the team and tickets are available at $25 each by calling Barbara Swart at the Marbury Alumni House at 255-7950. This is the first in a series of three game stories written by O.K. Davis of the Daily Leader on the Techsters’ national title victories, with the following story having appeared in the March 30, 1981 edition of the Daily Leader. Today: the AIAW 1981 championship).
