Chelsey Paige Sellers, of Dubach, and James William Vining Jr., of Oak Grove, were united in holy matrimony Aug. 27 at New Prospect Baptist Church in Dubach.
Officating the ceremony was Wendell Sellers.
Chelsey is the daughter of Harold and Barbara Sellers, of Dubach. She is the granddaughter of the late Harold Sellers, Patsy Sellers, of Farmerville, Clarice and Ronald Sanders, of Dubach, and Ben and Janice Jones, of Ruston.
Webbs celebrate 50 years
George Edward Webb Sr. and Mary Deane Price Webb, of Ruston celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 28.
The couple were married Aug. 31, 1961.
They have four children George Webb Jr., Tom and Stacey Webb, Becky Webb, and Cindy and Walter McElduff.
The couple also has 13 grandchildren — Chad Webb, Shelby Webb, Austin Webb, Cody Webb, Jake Webb (deceased), Morgan Webb, Ali Davenport, Seth Davenport, Mason McElduff, Dylan McElduff, Evan McElduff, Carmen McElduff.
Taylor Leachman, of Ruston, and David Easley Jr., of Cedar Bluff, Miss., were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Ruston.
The Rev. J.D. Shaw and Butch Simmons officiated the wedding ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Leachman. She is the granddaughter of Sally Leachman, of Ruston, the late Fred Leachman, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Swiatowicz, of Haughton, and the late Mr. and Mrs. H. Leon Taylor.

Mayor Edward R. Jones opened the regular session of the Grambling City Council at 6:05 p.m. at Grambling City Hall. Mr. Joseph Arrington offered the invocation and led the council and congregation into the Pledge of Allegiance. Present were the following Council members: Birdex Copeland, Jr., Yanise Days, Cathy Holmes, Cullen Jackson and Roy Jackson. It was moved by Council member Roy Jackson and seconded by Council member Cullen Jackson to adopt the Minutes dated July 7, 2011.
