SEALED BIDS

Sealed bids for the following project will be received by the Purchasing Department of the City of Ruston, Louisiana, located at Ruston Public Works Complex, 701 East Tennessee Avenue, Ruston, Louisiana 71270, either by mail or hand delivery, no later than 2:00 P.M. local time on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the office of the Purchasing Director. Telfords celebrate 50 years of marriage

Brody and Joy Telford, of Ruston, will celebrate 50 years of marriage today. The couple was wed Dec. 18, 1966. They have one son, Brice Telford, and his wife, Christana; as well as two grandchildren, Conner and Gretchen Telford.

Joe Hinton, age 76 of Ruston died December 14, 2016. Services are 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Visitation is 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday, December 19, 2016 at Owens Memorial Chapel, Ruston. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER

Cellco Partnership and its controlled affiliates doing business as Verizon Wireless (Verizon Wireless) is proposing to construct a 281-foot Self-Support Telecommunications Tower with a 10-foot lightning rod. The tower is anticipated to have medium dual intensity red/white lights. The site location is Highway 151, Arcadia, Lincoln Parish, LA 71001 (NAD 83) 32° 38' 39.9501" N; 92° 48' 44.6929" W. PUBLIC HEARING

The Ruston Housing Authority will conduct a Public Hearing to present, and to take comments on the following programs administered by the Housing Authority: Operating Budget; Capital Fund Program; the Agency Plan and Environmental Review. The hearing will be conducted to comply with the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998. Copies of each program are available for review at the Housing Authority's Office located at 615 N. Farmerville Street, Ruston, Louisiana. The Housing Authority's hours of operation are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Lincoln Parish, a public body providing transportation services to elderly and disabled persons in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, intends to apply for a federal grant to be used for the purpose of acquiring specially equipped vehicles and equipment for use in transporting elderly and disabled persons who are unable to utilize existing public transit services. Services will be generally between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in the area encompassing Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. The grant would be used to replace existing equipment.
