Miller, Schmidt join in holy matrimony

Hillary Claire Miller, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Michael Ryan Schmidt, of Atlanta, Georgia, joined in holy matrimony in a 6 p.m. ceremony May 17 at Wolf Mountain Winery in Dahlonega, Georgia. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Gil Watson of Northside United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Kitty Miller, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of the late Floyd and C. Lorraine Voight, the late Alden Perk and the late Joseph and Veronica Miller.

Odom, Russ wed

Keeley Claire Odom, of Choudrant, and Blaine Watson Russ, of Shreveport, joined in holy matrimony in a 5:30 p.m. ceremony on Sept. 20 at First Baptist Church in Ruston. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Bill Sanderson and the Rev. Josh Sanderson, both of Choudrant.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Odom, of Choudrant. She is granddaughter of the late William “Ikey” Sanderson, the late Clarice Sanderson, Peggy Otwell, of Ruston, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton T. Odom, of Arcadia.

Oglesbee, Allen to wed

Taylor Oglesbee, of Choudrant, and Clint Allen, of Ruston, are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching wedding.

Taylor is the daughter of Tim and Teresa Oglesbee, of West Monroe, and Dwain and Donna Elliott, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Tommie Oglesbee, of West Monroe, the late Donna Oglesbee, Calvin and Irene Singleton, of Choudrant, the late Glen Sanders, Frances Elliott, of Ruston, and the late Donnie Elliott.

Bagwell, Reed to marry

Bonnie James Reed, of Choudrant, is proud to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of her daughter Katherine “Katie” Abigail Reed, of Choudrant, to Casey Joe Bagwell, of Choudrant.

Katie is the daughter of Bonnie Reed, of Choudrant, and Courtney A. Reed III, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of the late O.J. and Katherine James and the late Mike and Sue Reed.

Casey is the son of Marie Emory Clark, of Ruston, and Keith and Susan Bagwell, of Dubach. He is the grandson of the late Jud Emory, the late Florice “Happy” and Buster Bagwell, and Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Coleman of Ruston.

THE TOWN Council of Dubach, Louisiana met in Regular Session Monday, September 15 2014, at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall. Present were Honorable Robert Jensen Mayor, Council members Vallie Carrico, Robert Colvin, Hattie Graham, Davie Powell, Donna Lewis and Jessica Darden with the Ruston Daily Leader.
Absent: NONE
Citizens attended: Debbie Heard
The Meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation by Davie Powell.
Motion by Donna Lewis Seconded by Hattie Graham to approve Agenda as presented

We are required to monitor your dringing water for disinfection byproducts (total trihalomethanes (tthm) and haloacetic acids-five (HAA5) during the peak historical month (June). Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your dringing water meets health standards. During the monitoring period of June 2014, the TREMONT WATER DISTRIC dis monitor, did complete all monitoring, and did report the results for total trihalomethanes (TTHMs) and haloacetic acids-five (HAA5), and therefore we are sure of the quality of your dringing water during that time.
