The Village of Simsboro met in a regular meeting, May 4, 2015 at 6: 00 P.M. Council members present were Alderman Doug Durrett. Alderman Jerry Davis and Alderman Joe Reed. Mayor Foster called the meeting to order. Mayor Foster voiced the prayer. Alderman Doug Durrett led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mayor Foster presented the agenda to the aldermen and asked for a motion to accept as presented. Motion was made by Alderman Doug Durrett, seconded by Alderman Jerry Davis. Agenda approved.

SEISMIC PUBLIC Meeting Notice
To the Citizens and Landowners of Lincoln & Jackson Parish, Louisiana
Boone Exploration, Inc. will be conducting seismic activity starting on Woods Rd., Mitcham Orchard Rd., 544, Tarbutton Rd., La 818, S. Barnett Springs St., Wesley Chapel Rd., US 167, ending at Bridge Creek Rd. The project will be a one 2D line, 16 miles long, using geophones spaced at 440 ft. interval along the line as listening devices with two vibroseis units to be used as the energy source.

WHEREAS, Elmore D. Mayfield (“Mayfield”) began serving as a member of the Ruston Board of Aldermen representing District 2, on April 16, 1993, and faithfully served until his death on June 23, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to rename Woodland Park, located at 1701 Martin Luther King Drive, to Elmore D. Mayfield Park in memory of Mayfield for his years of dedicated service to the citizens of the City of Ruston;
