The Grambling Legends Square Taxing District shall meet on the 6th day of November, 2014 at 5:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Grambling, LA, and hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of the following ordinance.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE LEASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE GRAMBLING LEGENDS SQUARE TAXING DISTRICT TO THE GRAMBLING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND OTHERWISE PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO.

The Lincoln Parish Police Jury is hereby notifying its citizens that a public hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Lincoln Parish Police Jury Office located at 100 West Texas Street, Ruston, Louisiana. The purpose of the public hearing will be to inform the public on the recently completed FY 2013 LCDBG potable water improvement project for the Lincoln Parish Police Jury.

Thompson, Plette marry

Mary-Arthur Thompson, of Ruston, and Michael Stephen Plette, of Shreveport, joined in holy matrimony during a 5 p.m. ceremony Feb. 1 at the Bridge Community Church. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Matthew Slate, who oversaw the signing of the covenant marriage certificate by the bride and groom.

The bride is the daughter of Russ and Ann Thompson, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of the late John Edward Boyd, Linda Boyd, of Ruston, and Dickie and Melba Thompson, of Ruston.

Lamkin, Brunson wed

Anna Elizabeth Lamkin and Jacob Michael Brunson, both of Ruston, joined in holy matrimony during a 1 p.m. ceremony Sept. 7 at New Prospect Church, of Clay, the bride’s ancestral church home. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Chris Craig.

The bride is the daughter of Janie and Harrel Lamkin, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Billie Jean Lamkin, of Ruston, the late Elton Lamkin and the late Nancy and Wayne Hedgepeth.

The groom is the son of Ann and Daren Brunson, of Ruston. He is the grandson of Carolyn and Ray Williams, of Pineville, and Elaine and Johnnie Brunson, of Farmerville.

WHEREAS, the City will generate scrap materials in calendar year 2015 (the “Scrap Materials” or “Property”) that cannot be utilized by the City and are not needed for public purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to sell Scrap Materials which will be collected during the calendar year 2015; and,
