Thompson, Plette marry

Mary-Arthur Thompson, of Ruston, and Michael Stephen Plette, of Shreveport, joined in holy matrimony during a 5 p.m. ceremony Feb. 1 at the Bridge Community Church. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Matthew Slate, who oversaw the signing of the covenant marriage certificate by the bride and groom.

The bride is the daughter of Russ and Ann Thompson, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of the late John Edward Boyd, Linda Boyd, of Ruston, and Dickie and Melba Thompson, of Ruston.

Lamkin, Brunson wed

Anna Elizabeth Lamkin and Jacob Michael Brunson, both of Ruston, joined in holy matrimony during a 1 p.m. ceremony Sept. 7 at New Prospect Church, of Clay, the bride’s ancestral church home. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Chris Craig.

The bride is the daughter of Janie and Harrel Lamkin, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Billie Jean Lamkin, of Ruston, the late Elton Lamkin and the late Nancy and Wayne Hedgepeth.

The groom is the son of Ann and Daren Brunson, of Ruston. He is the grandson of Carolyn and Ray Williams, of Pineville, and Elaine and Johnnie Brunson, of Farmerville.
