Local couple celebrates golden anniversary

Reggie and Betty Hammons celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Choudrant, with a gathering of family and friends given by their children Missy Alldredge and Toby Hammons. They were married on Sept. 1, 1967 at Providence Baptist Church in Point, LA. They are blessed with seven grandchildren: Baylee and Dilen Alldredge, Macy Dover, Megan Jarmon, Malarie Jarmon, Garrett Spearman, Gavin Hammons, and one great-granddaughter, Emersyn Dover.

Lincoln Parish Fire Protection District No. 1 Board of Commissioners met in special session, Monday, July 31, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., at Lincoln Parish Fire Protection District No.1 Administrative Office, Vienna Station in Dubach, Louisiana, with the following members present: Richard Aillet, Mike Fulton, Layne Parnell, Bart Dugdale, Richard Durrett
