Now that they’ve reached the tough-to-achieve 20-win total, remain odged in first place among Western Athletic Conference members and included in the Top 40 national polls, just where does the current Louisiana Tech University men’s team rank in the program’s history?
Top 20, Top 10, Top five?
Well, this outstanding season isn’t over just yet, so let’s chill just a tad before we completely fill out a ballot for All-Time Best Bulldogs’ squads.

’Dogs bounce Bobcats

Sometimes, even when you’ve won more than 20 games and are atop of your conference standings, a motivational speech is required.
That’s what happened at the Thomas Assembly Center Saturday night when Louisiana Tech University (21-3, 12-0) and Texas State University (7-18, 3-10) locked up in a Western Athletic Conference game.
The league-leading Bulldogs stumbled out of the opening tipoff, fell behind in the first 10 minutes, but then regrouped to take a 36-29 halftime lead and then outscore the Bobcats 48-40 in the final 20 minutes.
What made the difference?

Techsters stopped, 68-63

SAN MARCOS, Texas — Texas State built an 11-point halftime lead and hung on late, staving off a Louisiana Tech University rally, as the Bobcats defeated the Lady Techsters 68-63 before 1,067 fans at the Convocation Center.

GRAMBLING — Grambling State University’s men remained winless on the season after a 63-53 Southwestern Athletic Conference home loss to Prairie View A&M at the Frederick C. Hobdy Assembly Center Saturday.

Creek boys bump OCS, 61-33

Cougars gain fourth straight win, now 4-3 in 2-1A play

Cedar Creek High’s boys continued its late season surge on the courts Friday night with a 61-33 District 2-1A victory over rival Monroe Ouachita Christian.
The Cougars (10-15, 4-3) climbed over the .500 winning percentage level in league play and captured their fourth consecutive victory.
Shilo Perry paced the Cougars with 16 points, as the Creek won its third game in a row in the friendly confines of the “Brick House.”
The Cougars continued their recent winning recipe by getting scoring contributions up and down their roster.
Ten different Cougars broke into the scoring column.
