Clary throws no-hitter

in

Grant Clary helped Cedar Creek High’s baseball team improve to a 10-4 record in a big way this past weekend.
With a five-strikeout performance over five innings, Clary didn’t allow a hit and helped guide the Cougars to a 10-0 victory over Haynesville.
It was the first no-hitter of the season for Cedar Creek and the first of Clary’s career.

Be informed on mental health

Between children, work obligations, philanthropic and religious organizations and all of the economic and other bad news filling television screens and newspapers, it’s safe to assume that most people have been a little stressed and worried at some point. However, for some people, things can become too much, and they feel like they’re literally going to die from the pressure.

LSU AgCenter offers valuable services

in
Anderson, Ronald.jpg

For 125 years, the AgCenter has provided farmers and rural residents everything from research that improves crop production to tips on how to raise rabbits. While many farm kids grew up with 4-H, many urban children got their first glimpse of agriculture raising rabbits and chickens through that same program. Those lessons, provided by dedicated, well-trained 4-H agents gave kids their first shot at responsibility, while teaching valuable life skills as well.

Self-esteem not a good thing

in
Rosemond, John.jpg

Question: I recently heard you speak in San Diego and need some clarification. While I understand that researchers have found that high self-esteem is not what it was cracked up to be, I want my kids to approach the challenges of life with confidence in their abilities. There’s got to be a reconciliation point here. What is it?
