Collins joins French Creative

in

Ryan Collins has joined French Creative Group, Monroe-based advertising, marketing and public relations firm, as an accountant in the accounting department.
A cum laude graduate from Louisiana Tech with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Collins has 10 years’ experience in the accounting field.
He is a first lieutenant in the Louisiana Army National Guard and has served in Afghanistan and in operations for Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Gustav and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Ruston man re-elected to serve as Deep South director

Jeremy Gantt, manager of Ruston Tractor, Inc., a New Holland and Kubota dealer, was re-elected to serve as a Director to the Deep South Equipment Dealers Association. The election took place at the 67th Annual Convention at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee on Feb. 27-29. This annual meeting was held in conjunction with Midwest, Southern and SouthEastern Equipment Dealers Associations.

Emogen honored with Best of Broadcast ADDY award

Emogen Marketing Group was honored with Best of Broadcast at the 46th Annual American Advertising Federation (AAF)-Northeast Louisiana Chapter awards banquet held March 1 in West Monroe.  This is the firm’s third year to participate in the annual creative showcase. In all, Emogen brought home the following 10 awards:

Ledford honored

A day of celebration was held Feb. 24 in honor of Jerry Ledford. The day included a fish fry luncheon with all the trimmings and cake. To culminate the day’s festivities, Steve Brennan, owner of Brennan Dodge presented Ledford with a plaque for his 30 years of service to the local automotive industry. Brennan congratulates Ledford (right) for his 30 years of service.

Mills named to advisory council

The Federal Reserve Board has named Drake Mills of Choudrant a member of its Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council.
The council is composed of 12 representatives from banks, thrift institutions and credit unions serving on local advisory councils at the 12 Federal Reserve Banks.
Mills is a charter member of the Dallas Fed’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council established in 2010.

Local photographer earns certification

Sherry Owens of Sherry Owens Photography in Ruston has earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from the Professional Photographic Certification Commission.
Owens earned this designation after meeting rigorous requirements measuring her artistic and technical competence. The Professional Photographic Certification Commission currently recognizes less then 2,000 Certified Professional Photographers.

Eighth-grade field trip
The eighth grade will hold a fundraiser at Pizza Inn on March 13. All proceeds will benefit the eighth grade field trip to Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
Track and field
Simsboro will host the Third Annual Tiger Track and Field Invitational on Friday at Ruston High School. Field events will begin at 2:30 p.m. with running events starting at 4:30 p.m.
