Tech SOA receives $100K endowed scholarship

Reba K. Neel, an award-winning artist, former business professor and active supporter of Louisiana Tech University, has provided Tech’s School of Art with a $100,000 endowed scholarship.
Neel created the Lenora McDonald Neel and Oliver Fulton Neel School of Art Endowed Scholarship to honor her parents and help undergraduate art students with their college expenses. Neel’s love of painting began in 1976 when she took a watercolor class at Tech taught by M. Douglas Walton.

‘LPL Opry’ to be presented

Lincoln Parish Library’s own Ron Badgley and Emily Arnold will present for the first time the “LPL Opry” at the S.E.L.L.S. program at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 in the Library Events Center.
Attendees will hear the comedic style of Minnie Pearl as they are introduced to “Little Ruby-Joy Smyles.”
Those in attendance will hear the tunes made famous by country music legends such as Hank Williams, Alan Jackson, Ray Price, Marty Robbins and even Elvis Presley.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RUSTON, LOUISIANA:
§1. Section 22-2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Ruston, Louisiana (“Code”) is amended to add the following definitions:
Electronic Message Sign is a sign with a fixed or changeable display or message composed of a series of lights that may be changed through electronic means.
