’Dogs in exhibition win

Louisiana Tech University kicked off the 2012 campaign with a 72-44 victory over Arkansas-Monticello in an exhibition game Thursday night in the Thomas Assembly Center.
Tech was led by sophomore Michale Kyser, who scored 12 points, while also blocking three shots on the night. Sophomore Kenneth Smith led the team in rebounds with six. Junior Kenyon McNeail led the defense, as he recorded five steals in the victory.
Tech led by 10 at the half, but pulled away early in the second half with a 19-2 run which gave them a commanding 60-33 lead with just nine minutes remaining.

The Lincoln Parish School Board met in Regular Session on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 12:30 p.m. at Cypress Springs Elementary School, 1040 Saratoga Drive, Ruston, Louisiana. Members present were Ms. Debbie Abrahm, Mr. Otha Anders, Mr. Michael Barmore, Ms. Lisa Best, Mr. Danny Hancock, Mr. George Mack, Jr., and Mr. Joe Mitcham. Mr. Curtis Dowling, Ms. Mattie Harrison, Ms. Lynda Henderson, Mr. Trott Hunt, and Mr. Eddie Jones were absent.
