Creer: Late addition to Senior Bowl

Lennon Creer has been added to the Senior Bowl roster and will play on the South Team coached by veteran NFL Head Coach Mike Shanahan.
Creer, a two-year letterwinner at Louisiana Tech University, will wear jersey number 33 for the South Team on Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
The game, set to kickoff at 3 p.m. will be televised on the NFL Network along with SiriusXM broadcasting the game on SiriusXM NFL Radio, channel 88.

Grambling squads face road challenges

GRAMBLING — Grambling State University’s basketball teams will embark this weekend on a two-game road trip in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
The Lady Tigers (7-10, 3-4) and Tigers (2-15, 2-5) will play at the University of Arkanbsas-Pine Bluff on Saturday before going jto Mississippi Valley on Monday.
Grambling State’s women recently ended a two-game losing steak with a 59-55 road win against Jackson State.

Memorial fund to honor ex-Tech coach

Devoted fans and supporters are making sure that the many accomplishments of one of Louisiana Tech University’s most successful coaches will live on in the future.
Announced last week was the establishment of the Scotty Robertson Memorial Fund.
The fund will serve as a means of raising money to renovate the basketball court and add new goals at Memorial Gymnasium.

At 13 years old, I could tell you anything you’d possibly want to know about approximately 10 of the most popular movie/television stars of the day, as long as that information could be found on even the obscurest website on the Internet. And, even today, many of my friends and family members know that if they want to find a particularly tricky piece of information, I’m usually the go-to gal.

Our teacher, Miss Farley, was a strict disciplinarian whenever it came to good hygiene.
Almost “squeaky clean” herself, she checked us out thoroughly each morning before classes began. An un blown nose or dirty ears could earn you a big, fat “F” on your report card and send you trudging homeward with a warning note to your mom. And, since busy farm mothers didn’t take kindly to such goings-on, this whole, sordid affair usually concluded with a good licking from a persimmon or sassafras limb.
