Family in need of support from community members

An elderly couple transported to the hospital Tuesday morning after their home caught fire is recovering and should be fine according to their granddaughter.
Atonya Denton, granddaughter of Billy and Betty Caldwell, said Billy is out of the hospital and Betty is still recovering at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport in the intensive care unit for burns.
“She is still in the hospital, but it looks like she will have a full recovery,” Denton told the Daily Leader. “She is 79 and my grandfather is 82, so we are just thankful that they were able to make it out of the home all right.”

December event
First of all, a huge thank you to our Parent Teacher Group for our December event, “Tales of Christmas.”
