Sleepless nights over for moms-to-be

Before we ever found out that we were expecting, I can remember waking up three and four times a night due to tossing and turning, going to the bathroom or just plain restlessness.
It seems these symptoms are unfortunately returning the further along in the pregnancy that we get.
Slade and I both know that once our bundle of joy gets here we will no longer have a routine sleeping schedule of our own. Instead it will be dependant upon how the baby’s sleeping habits are.

LPNET makes weekend drug arrest

Charles Allen Primmer, 37, of 150 North Village, was arrested July 22 on a warrant issued in January 2010.
Sheriff’s Office Maj. Stephen Williams said Primmer allegedly sold marijuana to an undercover Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team agent in January 2010.
At the time just a warrant was issued and he was arrested at such a later date, Williams said because people began calling into Crime Stoppers with reports about his current activity.

Nolan Ryan had a wicked fastball.
Al Pacino is a great actor.
Jim Brown was a boot-tough running back.
Jerry Lee Lewis can play a mean piano.
And Mike Green and Matt Dunigan should be in the Louisiana Tech University Athletic Hall of Fame.

A Sunday morning’s worth of sports items while wondering how any Hall of Fame voter could keep Derek Jeter off of his ballot once the Yankee shortstop becomes eligible for Cooperstown:
• The other day, during a media gathering for the GSU Legends Hall of Fame 2011 induction class, I looked around the conference room at the Eddie G. Robinson Museum and was amazed at the number of legendary names in sports who were present. How about this lineup of Who’s Who?: Willis Reed, Willie Brown, Doug Williams, James “Shack” Harris and Aaron James.

Hadnot takes bronze

Former Ruston High School star Trey Hadnot of Louisiana Tech University continued his fabulous first year of collegiate competition by winning the bronze medal in the 200-meterdash for the United States at the Pan Am Junior Championships in Miami, Fla., on Saturday.
Hadnot got his third place finish with a time of 20.82, just shy of his all-time personal best of 20.80 that he clocked at the USA Track and Field Junior Championships last month to qualify for the nationals.
