Library Board of Control members discussed new policy updates and a library reference desk that has yet to be sold during their monthly meeting on Wednesday.
LPL Director Vivian McCain told board members that the Lincoln Parish Police Jurors had tabled any action pertaining to a desk that had been declared as surplus property.
During their July meeting, jurors refused to come down on their price after they received no bids on the library reference desk. The desk was custom-built in 2004 at a cost of $27,000.

When Louisiana’s District 5 team trailed 8-0 early on in the recent Big League Southwest Regional baseball tournament, there was a paradox of emotions enveloping Ross Moore.

With university additions such as Enterprise Campus and the new Maxie Lambright Intramural Center, there is no doubt that the city of Ruston will inevitably be affected, which is good.
These new additions mean that more students will be attracted to Tech and many of those students will make a home here in Ruston, even if for just four years, helping to boost the local economy.
