AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAMBLING

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAMBLING TO DECLARE PROPERTY AS SURPLUS AND TO AUTHORIZE SALE OF SAID SURPLUS PROPERTY.
Section 1. Pursuant to a motion held at the Board of Aldermen Meeting held on March 3, 2011, the following property was deemed to be surplus property as such property is no longer needed for public purposes and that same should be sold: Automobiles
The vehicles are as following: 1998 Chevy, 1997 Ford, 2001 Dodge, and 1994 Jeep

The Ruston Police Department

The Ruston Police Department plans to petition the Ruston City Court for authority to dispose of unclaimed property recovered by the Ruston Police Department during the years 2003-2010. The owners of any unclaimed property in the possession of the Ruston Police Department should contact Captain Michael Lestage at 501 North Trenton St., Ruston, Louisiana to claim their property prior to its disposal on June 15, 2011.

Egging on fun times

While attendees gathered around to meet the Easter Bunny, dozens of children scoured the land in the hopes of finding the most Easter eggs.
The Choudrant Resortation and Beautification Society held their sixth annual Easter Festival on Saturday.
Celeste Butler said there were about 100 children participating in the Easter egg hunt.
“We’re a little short of the turnout last year,” she said. “But you can see they’re having fun and enjoying themselves.”
She added how gratifying it is to have the parents bring their children out to an event like this.

Cox, Martin, Richie are No. 1 for Creek

MONROE — Josh Cox, Bannon Martin and Ruby Richie had championship performances for Cedar Creek High at the annual District 2-1A meet held earlier this week.
Cox was tops in the javelin (172-4) and Martin in the long jump (18-8.5) for the boys’ team and Richie was a title winner for the girls with a 12.5 clocking in the 100-meter dash.
Both Creek teams finished as runner-ups, as the Cougars had 113 points and the Lady Cougars ended with 122.5 points. Host Ouachita Christian School garnered the team championships with totals of 189 for the boys and 228 for the girls.

RHS dominates 3-4A track meet
