Tolbert

Jennie Beatrice Tolbert, 75, of Ruston, died July 21. Open visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at Kings Funeral Home in Ruston. An overnight drive through viewing is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. today and end at 9 a.m. Tuesday. A funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Paul S. Hurysz, Sr.

Paul S. Hurysz, Sr., of Ruston, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the age of 68.
He was predeceased by his parents, Casimer and Theresa, brother, Theodore Hurysz. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Liz Hurysz, children, Kathy (Danny) Payne, Paul “PJ” (Jill) Hurysz, Jr., Steven Hurysz and Bryan Hurysz, grandchildren, Danielle and Ryan Payne, Kristopher, Matthew, Jacob and Theresa Hurysz, Lilly Hurysz, brother, Roger (Kathy) Hurysz, nieces, Wendy (Terry) McCarthy, Rebecca (Chris Quinlan) Hurysz and Ruth (Greg Moore) Hurysz.

Rosalyn Georgia Wilson

Rosalyn Georgia Wilson, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on July 23, 2010 with her family at her side. She was born October 25, 1928 in Houston, Texas. Rosalyn graduated from Milby High School and attended the University of Houston.

Art lovers gather at bistro

The “Shades of Gray” collaborative fine art photography exhibit on Wednesday organized by 102 a bistro and North Central Louisiana Arts Council was anything but dull.
The restaurant was packed with guests who mingled and perused the selection of works while sipping cocktails and snacking on free appetizers provided by the restaurant.
The featured artists of the second ever bistro/ NCLAC exhibit were Dean Dablow, retired director of the Louisiana Tech School of Art, and Frank Hamrick, assistant professor and head of the photography department in the SOA.
