The second happiest moment for me as a hunter occurred a dozen years ago when I went to the photo shop and picked up pictures of my buck of a lifetime.
My happiest moment, obviously, was when I walked up and found that huge 8 point lying at my feet; the photos were just icing on the cake.
During the years since that fortunate occurrence, memories of the actual event have become faded and frayed.

Avid Tech fan shares tailgating food, cooking tips

Ruston is known for two things, peaches and Louisiana Tech. In the late 1970s Rusty Wilfong moved to Ruston with his wife Patti for one of those reasons.
“We came down to visit her parents and went to a Tech football game,” Wilfong said. “It was one of those great Saturday afternoon games, where Tech won.”
He added that he visited Tech and decided Ruston was a place where a person could settle down and raise a family.

Weddings of the past

Dreams of ever-lasting love linger at the Lincoln Parish Museum.
The new exhibit, “Weddings of the Past,” features wedding dresses worn by area women in the early to mid 20th century.
Most of the dresses were brought to the museum by Louisiana Tech University retired professor Linda Sivils.
