The Lincoln Parish Detention Center has been active in recent days in preparation for some new programs.
Warden Jim Tuten said movers finished setting up the new educational building on Tuesday.
“We still have to get a bulldozer in here to level out the dirt so that we can install the handicap ramps, put up the skirting and get the electricity hooked up,” Tuten said. “We’ve been trying to get everything done since December.”
He added that the new educational building, previously located at Hico School, was donated by the Lincoln Parish School Board in the latter part of 2013.
