Each year the Boys and Girls Club of North Central Louisiana reach out to area youth hoping to make a difference.
Unit Director Sabrina Love said this year’s summer camps have been the largest since she had been at the club. Summer sessions normally average around 75 children.
“The first session we had 93 attendees, the second session has 92,” she said. “Our teen program has hyped up tremendously. We usually have between one and five teens, this year we have 20.”
As far as the programs the attendees are able to participate in, Love said nothing has changed.

Back to school needs at DART

Autrey, Terrie Q.jpg

Summer may be in full swing right now, but in a few short weeks, students will be returning to school. DART is preparing for that time now. Each year, we help children who have been served in our program with uniforms and back-to-school supplies. In the past, we have received tremendous support from the community for this project. Now we invite anyone interested — whether it is an individual, a family, a group, a class, a business, or a church — to partner with us as we help get our students ready for the school year ahead.

Boys and Girls Club here to help local youth

The Boys and Girls Club of North Central Louisiana has been helping children throughout the community for many years.
With the largest number of children attending summer camps, leaders at this organization have had the opportunity to help nearly 100 youth.
With programs designed to keep children learning while they are out for summer it’s no wonder they are having an overflow of attendees.
The Boys and Girls Club provide youth in North Central Louisiana a safe, supervised environment in which they can develop into positive, productive members of society.
