Sermon carries meaning into daily life

Irby, Marna.jpg

Here I sit, having had such an amazing week, with so much to tell. I don’t know where to start, so I’m not sure how this will turn out, but hopefully it will be okay.
Last Sunday, I had an awesome day. Our pastor preached such an amazing sermon (for me, that is) that I am still thinking about it.
I always enjoy his message because he prepares diligently and get sthrough on time. Although I am 92, and a preacher’s daughter, I get new, fresh thoughts.

Before last weekend, there had not been a boat race held on Lake D’Arbonne since the early 1980s, but thanks to Mitch and Matt Ludwig of Ludwig Marine in Farmerville, that has changed. Deep South Racing Association held its inaugural boat races in seven different divisions last Saturday and Sunday.

“Oh, it was Coach Floyd, there wasn’t any doubt about that,” he said during a press conference held at The Landing Restaurant on Thursday afternoon. “It had to be him. Nobody else. After what he’s meant to me in my life, I didn’t have to think very long on who I was going to be choosing.”
