Navari, Richie.jpg

as all it took for Southern Miss to clinch the series over Louisiana Tech after defeating the Bulldogs, 1-0, despite a gem of a pitching performance by Richie Navari Saturday afternoon at Pete Taylor Park.
Although Navari was nearly perfect in an eight-inning complete game effort, Southern Miss (23-17, 12-5 Conference USA) had back-to-back base hits in the sixth inning before a sacrifice fly to center field by Matt Durst plated the only run of the game for a Golden Eagle victory over Tech (10-26, 4-16 C-USA).

Every parent must go through a process in order to accept that something may be uniquely different about their children.

“I knew something was different about him early on,” she said.
