Dorothy Mae Hayden

Funeral Services for Dorothy Mae Hayden will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM.at Owens Memorial Chapel.  Mrs. Dorothy  was born on April 11, 1929 in Dubach, Louisiana to Paul and Ion Bagwell.  She departed this life on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the age of 84 after a brief illness. 

She is survived by one daughter: Linda A and husband Mark Combs; one granddaughter: Kelly Flowers; one great grandson: A.J. Flowers; she is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who were precious to her.  Mrs. Hayden is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Roxie Maxine Washam

Roxie Maxine Washam, affectionately known as “Mac”, was born October 7, 1944 to Mary Evelyn Brantley Washam and Arthur Chesley Washam and left this life to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2014. 

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn, of Farmerville; her two sisters, Jean Washam Hollis and husband, Steve, of Ruston; Leah L. L. Washam, of Monroe; and three nieces Maradith Jean Hollis of Mobile, Alabama, Lily Claire Washam-Coggins of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Kerry W. Harrell and husband Kevin of Fernandina Beach, Florida.  She is pre-deceased by her daddy, Arthur C. Washam.

The Lincoln Parish School Board met in Regular Session on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Parish School Board Central Office, 410 South Farmerville Street, Ruston, Louisiana. Members present were Ms. Debbie Abrahm, Mr. Otha Anders, Mr. Michael Barmore, Ms. Lisa Best, Mr. Curtis Dowling, Mr. Danny Hancock, Ms. Mattie Harrison, Ms. Lynda Henderson, Mr. Trott Hunt, Mr. Eddie Jones, Mr. George Mack, Jr., and Mr. Joe Mitcham.
No board member was absent.

MINUTES

MINUTES. CITY OF GRAMBLING, GRAMBLING, LOUISIANA. Monthly Meeting February 13, 2014 Mayor Edward R. Jones opened the regular session of the Grambling City Council at 6: 00 p.m. at Grambling City Hall. Mr. William Arrington offered the invocation and led the council and congregation into the Pledge of Allegiance. Present were the following Council members: Birdex Copeland, Jr., Yanise Days, Cathy Holmes, Roy Jackson, and Cullen Jackson. Absent: None. It was moved by Council member Roy Jackson and seconded by Council member Birdex Copeland, Jr. to adopt the Minutes dated January 9, 2014.
