Couple says ‘I do’

Ashley Michelle Bennett, of Choudrant, and Randall Greer Lilley, of Mineral Springs, were married Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. in Christ Community Church. Bro. Brad Jones officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Ashley is the daughter of Sharon Mayzel, of Baton Rouge. She is the granddaughter of Jack and Pam Farmer, of Carturight, John and Angelique Mayzel, of Houston, and Billy and Joyce Bennett, of Choudrant.

Randall is the son of Gary and Donna Lilley, of Mineral Springs. He is the grandson of Stephen and Obelene Randall, of Mineral Springs, Helen Lilley, of Mineral Springs, and the late James Lilley.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Michael Mayzel, the bride wore a Piccione gown made of silk taffeta. The sweetheart neckline was adorned with rhinestones, crystal beading, sequins and pearls. The dress had ruching on the bodice and featured a semi-cathedral train.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of chocolate hydrangeas, red cala lilies, Sumatra lilies, red dendrobium orchids, orange coxcomb, coral roses, curly willow and ti leaves wrapped in white satin ribbon.

Kimberly Lites, of Ruston, served as maid of honor. The matron of honor was Lauren Bennett Hunt, of Ruston. Bridesmaids were Jessica Lilley, of Mineral Springs, Kaysha Cripps, of Simsboro, and Megan Baker, of New Orleans.

The bridesmaids wore bold strapless, princess-line Mori Lee gowns featuring vertical draping from the neckline to the empire waist.

They carried hand-tied bouquets with chocolate hydrangeas, red cala lilies, dendrobium orchids, curly willows and ti leaves wrapped in chocolate satin ribbon.

Gary Lilley, of Mineral Springs, served as best man. Groomsmen were Richard Heard, of Dubach, Alex Burt, of Ruston, Justin Tolar, of Dubach, and Dusty McHale, of Ruston.

Ushers were Lance Billberry, of Mineral Springs, Mark Taylor, of Ruston, Case Lary, of Ruston, Chad Domangue, of Ruston, Tyler Stevenson, of Shreveport, Preston Sparks, of Ruston, and Marley Bell, of Quitman.

The flower girls were Baily Bowers, of Dubach, Marley Bell, of Quitman, and honorary flower girl was Felicity Hunt, of Ruston.

The ring bearer was Michael Cale Mayzel, of Ruston, and honorary ring bearer was Brody Mayzel, of Ruston. The scripture reader was Robyn Masters. Music was provided by Diane Stuckey, of Ruston, and Kathy Boggs, of Choudrant. The photographer was Brenda Randull Bruzzell.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Ruston Country Club. Serving at the reception was Linda Peevy, of Jonesboro.

A rehearsal dinner, hosted by Gary and Donna Lilley, was held at the Lilley’s home.

A tool and garden party was hosted on July 17 at the home of Gary and Donna Lilley.

A lingerie shower was held July 31 at the home of Brandon and Lauren Hunt.

Hosts were Megan Baker, Kaysha Cripps, Lauren Hunt, Jessica Lilley, Kimberly Lites and Sissy Tolar.

A miscellaneous shower was held Aug. 2. Hosts were Debbie Bennett, Jessica Bullock and Lauren Hunt. A bridal shower was held Aug. 14 at the Audubon Room at Northern Louisiana Medical Center. Hostesses were Robyn Buchan, Kim Monk, Candice Leach, Kathy Abel, Kristi Bell and Rebecca Masters.

A bridal shower was held Aug. 15 at the T.L. James House. Hosts were Birdel Barker, Tammy Clark, Marilyn Ferguson, Becky Gemelli, Kathy Guice, Dianne Helferich, Penny James, Kathleen Mitchell, Pam Willis, Stephanie Payne, Terri Singleton, Kathy Stone and Becky Stutzman.

A miscellaneous shower was held Aug. 16 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

After a honeymoon to the Mayan Riviera, Mexico, the couple will reside in Dubach.
