Bryan Beck to lead Ruston baseball

Ruston High's hiring frenzy has wrapped up with Bryan Beck accepting the position of head baseball coach of the Bearcats Friday afternoon, RHS principal Dan Gressett confirmed.

The Lincoln Parish Journal first broke the story.

Beck has served as a baseball assistant coach for the last seven seasons, along with serving as a football assistant for the 2022 and 2023 teams.

"We did a thorough, lengthy search and realized he was the one we wanted to lead our program moving forward," Gressett said in a statement. "He will do a great job. We are excited."

Ruston baseball had put together three-straight 20-win seasons prior to this spring, where the Bearcats finished 11-21 overall.

Beck will now be tasked with getting the Bearcats back on track.
