William Gary Barham

William Gary Barham passed away on March 9, 2021. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 12, at 3 p.m., with a brief visitation at 2:30 p.m. at Kilpatrick’s Memorial Garden.

Rev. Jason Walsworth will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Gary was born on November 11, 1947. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a dog handler during his deployment to Vietnam.

He became a wellknown businessman in the Ruston community when he returned home. He overcame many health and personal issues to become the man that we loved so much. Gary faced a debilitating stroke later in life and took pride in being a survivor.

Gary loved his wife, Louise, and he missed her for many years after her death — often speaking fondly of her. He also loved his kids and grandkids and cherished spending time with them. He loved to travel and visited his family and friends on a daily basis. His favorite thing in the whole world was to sit down and talk while he drank a cup of coffee.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Fannie Clyde and Mavis Barham; wife, Louise Fulmer Barham; and his son, Gary Lee Barham.

Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Blake (Tony) of Ruston, and Tommie Barham and Lindsey Barham, both of Monroe; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
