Graveside services for Marion Glynn Aycock, 94 of Ruston, will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 29, 2021, at Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Lisbon.

Officiating the service will be Dr. Chris Craig under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston.

Glynn passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, at his home.

He was born November 12, 1927, in Lisbon, the son of Marion W. and Eula R. Aycock. He graduated from Lisbon High School, Class of 1946. Following graduation, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force as a Load Master on a C124.

Glynn married his wife, Janet Burdine Aycock, on November 22, 1955. He graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in Business Education and went on to lead the Guidance Counseling Center at Tech until his retirement in 1984.

Glynn is preceded in death by his parents, Marion Wellington Aycock and Eula Berta Rhodes Aycock; his two brothers, Lavonne Aycock and Donald Aycock; and one sister, Mary Aycock Green Gunnels.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janet Aycock; his son, Marion Aycock and his wife Susan of Homer; his daughter, Rhonda Payton and her husband Jeff of Baton Rouge; granddaughters, Maggie Payton, Beth Aycock Liner and her husband Jon, Becca Aycock, Caty Payton Luecke and her husband Trent, and Hannah Aycock; two great-grandchildren, Truman Luecke and Rainey Liner; one brother, Olen Aycock and his wife Nina; and a host of nieces and nephews.
