A celebration of life will be held for Jimmie Parker O’Neal at Alabama Presbyterian Church in Sibley, on November 26, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Allison Moody officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Family Life Center on November 26 at 10 a.m. until service at the church.

Jimmie was born on May 4, 1927, in Vienna, and passed away November 22, 2021. She graduated from Tallulah High School and attended Louisiana Tech University where she met the love of her life, Dan O’Neal.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Eldon O’Neal, Jr. of Ruston; her father, Jim Powell Parker and mother, Alda Watts Parker, of Monroe; daughter, Charlene O’Neal Best and grandson, Jim Taylor Best (Bo), both from Ruston.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan O’Neal Murphy and husband Randall of Ruston; son, Dan O’Neal III and wife Lynne of Sibley; grandchildren, Heather O’Neal Chambliss and husband Donnie of Southhaven, Mississippi, Anna Mitchell Cox and husband Christian of Leawood, Kansas, Katie Best Clark and husband Cullen of Ruston, Parker Mitchell and wife Sunny of Ruston, Daniel O’Neal and wife Leila Ann of Sibley, Adam O’Neal and wife Marisol of Ruston; great-grandchildren, Karis and Claire Chambliss; Caroline, Catherine and Clara Cox; Cullen, Anna Kate and Nealy Clark; Walker, Mitchell and Shelby Paige; and Jimmy O’Neal; brother, Warren Parker of Monroe; sister-in-law, Ruth O’Neal Walpole of Ruston; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Jimmie’s love for beauty was shown in her creative abilities. Jimmie believed that a way to demonstrate her love for the Lord was to share her gifts and talents God had given her.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Parker Mitchell, Daniel O’Neal, Adam O’Neal, Cullen Clark, Donnie Chambliss, and Christian Cox.

The family would like to thank Premier Hospice Care, Benton Care and their many family and friends that gave them support through their love and prayers. Memorials may be made in memory of Jimmie O’Neal to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place; Memphis, Tennessee 38105) or Alabama Presbyterian Church (2091 Hwy. 145, Choudrant, LA. 71227).
