George Bond Simonton, Jr.

George Bond Simonton, Jr., passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, at the age of 77 after a decline of health over the recent months in Spring, Texas.

George was born to Gertrude and George Simonton, Sr., in Ruston. A Louisiana Tech Accounting graduate and CPA, George spent much of his career in banking, retiring in 2015. While working in Beaumont, he met the love of his life Donna, and they enjoyed 22 years of marriage.

George was an avid reader who enjoyed fishing, cooking and a love for cruising. He cherished relaxing with his wife at their house in Crystal Beach, Texas, and spending quality time with his grandkids.

George is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Kelly; stepson, Keith Tennison and wife Lori; stepdaughter, Tracy and husband John Codrington; with beloved grandchildren, Abby and Reed Codrington.

Memorial services will be at The Woodlands Methodist Church, 2200 Lake Woodlands Dr., The Woodlands, Texas on Wednesday February 7, at 2 p.m.
