Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Flossie “Flo” Ware Price, at Kilpatrick’s Memorial Gardens on December 7, 2021, at 2 p.m. with a reception for family at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Ruston, from noon until 1:30 p.m. Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Flo was married to the love of her life, Bob for 70 years. Flo opened the first Merle Norman Studio in Ruston where she loved helping the Annual Peach Festival Pageant contestants do their hair and makeup. She loved the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer where she was a member of the Women of The Church and where she loved being a part of the annual bazaar and Taster’s Luncheons.

Quilting was one of her favorite things and she was an excellent seamstress. Flo was happiest when she was on Toledo Bend fishing with Bob, friends and family or tailgating at LSU Tiger football games where she and Bob cheered for the tigers for over 60 years, but her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Flo was born on September 22, 1930, in Haynesville, and passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on December 4, 2021. Flo was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Joe Price, her parents George Obe and Emma Crump Ware, her sisters Marge Phillips and Artie Bergeron, brothers, George Ware, C.B. Ware, Jack Ware and Pete Ware.

Flo is survived by her children; Joe Price of Ruston, Becky Price of Ruston, and John Price and wife Pam of Choudrant. Grandchildren, Jason Martin and wife Julie of Benton, Rob Martin and wife Christina of Bossier

City, and Morgan Price Ritter and husband Paul Ritter of West Monroe, Lauren and husband Bobby Jones of West Monroe, and Landan Bailey and Destiny Pylant of Choudrant; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Martin, Grayson Martin, Marlee Jones, Chloee Jones, Hudson Bailey, and Harper Rose Ritter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Ruesch, Dean Hughes, Robert Temple, Joe Dan O’Banion and Gil Dowies.

The family would like to convey their gratitude and love to Melissa Maddox, Stephanie Diffey, Veronica Edwards and Felicia Malone of Premier Hospice and the wonderful caretakers that mean so much to the Price family; Joyce White, Nikesha White, Vontella White, LaToya Hunter and Shemika Allen.
